About

Who am I?

I am Ishita Kanodia, a second-year medical student at Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College and Research Institute, Bangalore. I am passionate about pursuing medicine. My fascination with the intricate organization of the human body and biological systems in general and the immediately tangible output of the work – in terms of the wide-ranging and important roles in society played by healthcare workers – are some of my major driving forces. Over the course of my studies in medicine, my interest in understanding different organ systems is only increasing and I look forward to learning more and being able to also contribute to biomedical and clinical research.

Apart from medicine, I love many dance forms and was trained in the classical dance form of Kathak for 6 years and freestyle dance from early childhood. I also love music and am learning to play the piano. As you can see I also have included an art section, which is another one of my hobbies that I try to work on from time to time. I also continue to pursue my hobby of playing table tennis and have started training for table tennis regularly.

What is this website about?

The Notes section of this website was born mostly out of the realization that it was crucial to have concise, readable, attractive, and comprehensive notes to effectively study and remember the vast coverage of the medical curriculum which is necessary to set the basis for the rest of the studies of medical students. These notes serve to supplement what is taught in classes.

As I began to make these notes, I saw how much they helped me learn and I also came up with the idea of audio notes which allowed me to learn and revise during commutes. Additionally, I found it much more effective to listen to notes to go through vast topics and hence, I have shared these as well, despite the occasional disturbance or noise in them ;). As I shared these with my batch-mates in medical school, I received feedback that this was very helpful to them as well and I have decided to put them up here in case it helps other medical students efficiently learn the basics and understand the important subject matter.

Coming soon are sections for discussing recent developments in fundamental and applied biomedical sciences which can be very important to us up-and-coming doctors! Happy to clear any queries or hear your feedback 🙂
